My name is Elham Azadbakht and I'm a third year PhD student in Experimental High Energy Physics at Texas A&M University. I'm doing my research on the interface of Cosmology and Particle Physics. Currently, my research focus is searching for Dark Matter with Super Cryogenic Dark Matter Search.
I was born and raised in a small city in Western Iran. I moved to Tehran in 2012 to start my bachelor in Physics at University of Tehran. I graduated in May 2016 and moved to US to continue my graduate studies in Physics at Texas A&M University. Since then, I have been working with Dr. Toback on SuperCDMS. I'm mostly incolved in simulation and validation of Trigger performance and calibrating and testing Detector Controls and Readout Cards.
