Applications of lasers in biochemistry and medicine; surface plasmon resonance biosensors; fluorescence in the field of a surface plasmon; single molecule fluorescence detection; Raman spectroscopy; surface enhanced spectroscopy; nonlinear optics; applications of femtosecond laser pulses; laser photoacoustics; laser generation of shock waves; materials and thin film characterization with laser-generated surface acoustic pulses; thermoelastic and ablation processes induced by ultrashort laser pulses.
